Hi all, I have a 2.7 2001 Boxster, I noticed over the last few months a vibration around 3000 - 3300rpm in the cruise, also when on the over run a marked vibration in the same region, looked at lots of post all given mount, muffler, all sorts, went with the mount, very cheap and what a difference, no vibration, no thumps on bumps, better gear change, don't delay if you suspect... do it

Hi, good info, could you post the mileage of you car, and the location and purchase price of the mount.Guessing it was the large front mount?

BR

89,000 and the vibrations began at arounf 85,000, the price fitted was £165.00, and yes it was the large front one

One of the common wear items is the mount and I changed mine at 27k miles ! But what a difference - no drive line shunts on overrunn.Another item worth changing are the anti roll bars linkages= these wear out but they make the suspension and road feel much tighter once renewed - even on a car with 25k. !
