Hi,
I am new to the club and new to Porsche, will soon pick up my first Porsche a 986 3.2S. There are a few things that I am not sure of and would like some help from the accumulated knowledge out there.
There are a few codes on the VIL that I cannot find in the usual guides.
They are as follows X46, X98, 502, 697, 946. All the other items I have managed to translate but the above few have me stuck. Porsche UK will not help until I am the owner or I get the present owner to fax them the details and a consent form. All I want to do is have a very good idea what I am looking at when I inspect the vehicle, and perhaps have some bargaining power when it comes down to the hard sell.
Thanks in anticipation ... Jim.

X is normally something from the "Exclusive" program. These codes are often re-used on different objects...

However, X46 is Tiptronic Selector Lever in Aluminium (and poss Leather? - Says "LEDER" in the list I have)

I suspect 697 is something in the audio equipment as all the numbers around it are the different CD-Radio options

946 is seat covers front in Leather/Leather/Leatherette
