VIN Sticker

Hi All,

Do the new 987's not have the sticker under the front hood with the options and vin on it anymore.

I have one in the service book but none on the car that I can see

Thanks

I have tried to figure out the missing option sticker for 997/987 for months. Out of about 40 cars I have looked at only 3 had the sticker under the front trunk lid - I did not check to see if there was one in the book.

Some time ago a salesman told me that there is just 1 sticker being sent with the car. Last week I was talking to a mechanic who was preparing a new 997 for a customer. We searched the car and there was just one sticker. So you put it in the book or on the trunk lid.

Strange that there is just 1 sticker as there use to be 2.

Think how much they save per car with one sticker as it would save on paper and ink[:)]

There is though no real purpose to the sticker being on the car as there a VIN numbers on the door jamb sticker. I am happy for it being in the book it makes sense.

Why it changed I bet it comes down to money.
