Vinyl Wrapping of Interior Components

Hi Everyone,

I recently responded to a thread about vinyl wrapping of seat backs and included some photos of my seat backs before and after wrapping in Guards red to match my exterior paint colour.

I have received a lot of emails asking where I had it done. For the benefit of all, the company was "Your Sign Company" based in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire. I dealt with the Director Nick Dowell who was very helpful (and also did the wrapping personally), his number is 01480 847336.

I would recommend removing the seats from the car for wrapping, there was a recent thread on how to do this and seems fairly easy. My seats were done in the car and they struggled to get two technicians in the back at the same time to fit the wrap!

Nick estimated 1.5 hrs to fit the wrap but it ended up taking them 3 hrs due to the confined space they were working in. I hope that this info is helpful.

Regards,

I must say they look really nice, I was thinking of getting my centre console done, all I've got to do now is find some Lapis Blue wrap!!

They look very good. I've been thinking of having the whole of my car done in white and spraying the wheels grey but am still undecided. Has anyone else had this done and are you satisfied. (I want to change my car but with all I've done to it, it's a shame to buy another that wants the same done to it) John

John,

I have seen a few cars that have had a complete vinyl wrap and they looked great from a distance but if you are fussy (like me) the finish is not as good as paint and you can always detect a few areas which are not quite right. Personally I would not have a whole car wrapped but I guess it depends on how good the technician is that applies it and if you can accept the drawbacks of a vinyl wrap. Just my opinion, others may have different experiences. I would however be happy to have individual external or internal componts wrapped; the carbon fibre wraps look really good.

Regards,

wrap is a great quick fix but the vinyl can peel from edges eg wing mirror due to heat and wind also don't know what mess it leaves behind when you need to remove

This is exactly what i want to do, how much were they please?

And can someone link the remove seats thread.

Thanks

Hi Steve

How did you get the leather off the seats?

Cheers,

Hi Peter,

The hard back seats can be 'wrapped' without removing the leather, removal of the rear seat pockets is an easy job.

Regards,

Steve
