After reading the body forum tech guides on car washing i decided to purchase some Virisol to clean up some alloy's, has anyone ever used it and got any tips etc.

I've never used it but the usual tips apply I would have thought:

1) Always start with cold wheels
2) Do one wheel at a time
3) Use a good quality wheel brush - I use one by Autoglym but there are many others.
4) Always rinse with plenty of water.

Some cleaners need you to rinse off straight away, and they tend to be the fairly aggressive ones, and others need you to leave to soak and then agitate. Just follow the instructions and I'm sure you'll be fine. If you can, take some before and after pictures so we can see how you got on.

I've been using it for 7+ years now (although it was in the guise of MC2 originally [8|] ).

Good tips from James - I tend to spray it on and agitate with a brush, then leave for 5mins and use an (old) microfibre cloth to do the proper "washing".

Excellent stuff. [8D]

I've been using it for 2 years.
Spray neat on really dirty wheels, work in with wheel brush, leave for 5 mins and wash off.
Normal dirty wheels dilute 1-5 to 1-10.
I get mine from a local flooring maintenance shop

Costs about £6 for 5 ltrs,

ORIGINAL: Mark Bennett

Any favourite places to get it?

i emailed clover chemicals for my local dealer , phoned them and they said they would deliver it to my work in morning. £8ish 5 litres
