[blockquote]Region 5 are hosting a virtual meeting with an excellent speaker on Wednesday 12th May at 8:00pm two-times British Rally Championship winner, Matt Edwards.

Given the interest in motorsports on the Cayman forum, I thought that some of you might be interested in joining us for what promises to be an enjoyable and interesting evening where Matt will talk openly about the highs and lows of competing in top-level motorsport, before taking questions.

Matt will talk about his 15 year career in British rallying, from starting in the BTRDA 1400 championship whilst at university, moving into Historic rallying in a Mk2 Escort, through to competing and winning twice the British Rally Championship in an R5 Fiesta. Matt will discuss his recently confirmed bid to potentially become the only driver ever to win the BRC three times in a row as he drives an R5 VW Polo in 2021.

For further information or details of how to join the meeting, please contact me or Matt Staines at: r5@porscheclubgb.com

In the meantime, for a taster of Matt Edwards in action competing in the 2020 Cambrian rally, please follow the link below.

We hope to see some of you on the 12th May,

Martin
