As the new Porsche Approved Body Repair Centre for our region, Lloyds Bodyshop are keen to build up a realtionship with the club.

Scott Smith, Assistant Bodyshop Manager has kindly invited us to visit their site on Saturday 27th April from 10am til around 2pm.

Swissvax will also be on hand to give demos of their products.

Scott has requested that I give him an idea of numbers for catering so can you please register your interest on here ASAP.

My car is booked in with them from 8th April to put right the work carried out at Bill Heaney's Bodyshop just before their demise last year so we should be able to see a result of the workmanship at Lloyds .

For those of you who aren't familiar with Lloyds they're at
Hunters Road
Spital Tongues
Newcastle
NE2 4ND
(just behind the BBC TV studios on Barrack Road)

Hi Greg,

I'd of liked to attend this event...but im away down south [:(][:(]

Is there likely to be any other days at a quality detailing and body shop this year??

Cheers,
FP

Greg
please put me down for 2 people. Bill Heany made a balls of my car in a certain area too.
I also need a quote for some car park damage so it should be a benificial visit for me. Thanks.

Your name's on the list Ian.
Scott's hoping to be at this months meeting at Newcastle OPC, so for anyone not able to make it to the Lloyds visit they can meet him there.

Lloyd are a big dealer in Carlisle and West Cumbria, BMW, Land Rover, Alfa,Volvo, they have a state of the art bodyshop at Carlisle and i have seen some of the paintwork they turn out......supberb !
They have done some work on my 7 series (rear NS wing)in the past and it is still good and looks "factory" they also repaired a 3 series estate of mine after a break in, again "top drawer" repair.
I have no affiliation just first hand experience.

Can anyone who has not already confirmed that they will be attending the open day at the Lloyd body shop, and wish to please add your name to the list, ASAP. Lloyds have very kindly offered to open up the doors to us to enable us to see just what they can do. After countless messages over the last few months which garages we should take our pride and joy to, these guys are wanting to show us what they are all about. They have also very kindly offered nibbles and refreshments on the day. They have asked for us to indicate numbers so as to accommodate. As the new Porsche approved body repair center for our region they are eager to build up a good relationship with the club and I feel it would be unfair if just a handful of members turn up and an opportunity missed by R3.
Some of you may know already that my own car is in having work done at present and will be available on that day for a thorough going over by all of us regarding the standard of work they have churned out.
I must stress I have no affiliation with Lloyds other than they are the newly approved center for our region.

Hi Ladies and Gents,

Just a quick brief for the Saturday 27th April. We will be starting the day at 10am for registration with reception, given an overview of the site and explaining what we will be demonstrating during the course of the day. Plan is to be demonstrating a few of the things we can do on site like prepping and painting of a vehicle in our spray booths, alloy wheel refurbishment and technical diagnostic equipment such as PIWIS and the new Evo measuring system! In addition to this we will have Andrew Mearns and his team from Swissvax UK on site to demonstrate there amazing Paint Protection System (We will also be having a prize draw on the day for those who have registered to win a Full Paintwork Protection application and Full aftercare kit RRP £350.00), Lunch and refreshments will also be provided on the day! We do really need some ideas on numbers etc to arrange the catering so if you can let me know either via the forum or my direct e'mail is scott.smith@lloydgroup.co.uk It would be great to get a good turnout for what should be a most enjoyable day!

Kind regards,
Scott.

Maybe a + 1 with me as well but can't confirm until the day before, sorry... But even if it's just me i'm sure i'll eat there share to save on any waste !!! [;)]
