Hi All

Our first run out of 2012 will be to the Museum of Science & Industry (MOSI) in Manchester on Sunday 11th March

We will be leaving Bolton North Services on the M61 (Now a Euro Garages site) at 9.30am to arrive at MOSI at 10.00.

We will be parking in the museum area, not the car park, and making a display. MOSI have asked that we leave cars on site between 10.00 and 16.00 hours, but you will need all this time to visit the many halls featuring transport including cars, helicopters and planes to engineering which was performed in the Manchester area, covering many industry sectors, as well as going under the city and seeing how people used to live during the industrial revolution period.

There is also a hall with railway engines and you can even have a ride on a train pulled by a Stephenson's Rocket Replica

There is a good cafeteria on site and you are very close to Deansgate should any ladies fancy some shopping.

There is no entry fee to the museum and we should also get free parking within the museum.

See www.mosi.org.uk

We are hoping to call off somewhere on the way back for a bite to eat to round off the day.

Please let me know by e-mail (r18@porscheclubgb.com) if you will be attending, so I can let MOSI know how much space on site we will require reserving

Regards

colin you have a cottage on the isle of man ferry thats novel
must read the post properly before opening my mouth

Not sure which orifice was involved ,Ray,but the big Cat which starts running from late March has great big plumes coming out of it's rear when it gets up to speed.[:)]

Have fun, sadly I can't join you due to family commitments but hope you have a good time. The museum is great and if you wander up to Deansgate, the tapas in Dimitri's is highly recommended!

Incidentally, is anyone going to Oulton Park on Friday to watch the RS day?

I've made a provisional arrangement with Dean to go subject to any last minute work commitments. Not sure the forecast is too great though.

Intended going having done the clutch slave cylinder & fitted the turbo front antiroll bar to the 924S-the x country drive is fun-but having decided to have a cottage on the ferry,it didn't float my boat.[:)]

That sounds like rather a dodgy euphemism to me.....[:D][;)]

It's a good job he didn't come to my Daughter's wedding-both above "innuendos"-(Jeremy must be reading dictionaries before he goes to sleep)-featured in the speeches-there again I've always thought he had a shy side.[;)]
