Visit to PC Bournemouth on Sunday 17th April

I would like to say a big thank you to PC Bournemouth (especially Louise) for the very warm welcome and lovely buffet that they laid for our visit yesterday.

We had a convoy of 10+ cars from the Geroge Albert Hotel down to Ferndown, we collected a couple more on route.

What a relaxing way to spend a Sunday lunchtime, sat in the showroom with a Cayman Type R and a 911 Turbo Cab.

Also thanks to Nick, Geoff and Tref for doing the organising and arranging.

Having just spent the day travelling back from the Cotswolds rally in the back of a recovery truck, I kinda wish I'd done the PC Bournemouth thing......would have been so much more convenient to have broken down there! Serves me right for abandoning R26 for the weekend.
Glad to hear you all had a good time - I heard from the PCB crowd that it went well.

Can't think of a better way to spend an afternoon!

Thanks to Scott for doing the washing up[:D]

Thanks for that Karl.....but I reckon standing at the side of the road, in the middle of nowhere, waiting for the third jump start of the day is a far more character building way of spending a Sunday afternoon. As you can imagine, Sharon was REALLY pleased at the outcome of our Cotswolds weekend.

Hi Paul,
No, DME changed on site a Blenheim Palace (the best prepared 3.2 owners ALWAYS carry a spare...) but it was a clutch at straws really. Confirmed today by PC Bournemouth that as I suspected, it is the alternator. Just let me say that you DO NOT want to have to buy a new one of these....there was me thinking gold was expensive......!

Karl,

Three jump starts to was much for an old man like me. I feel the need for a rest........
