I will be emailing shortly all those who have already registered their intention to attend this visit, but there are still places available, so please email me as soon as possible at macan@porscheclubgb.com if you would like to join us, so that I can forward details and get an idea of numbers for catering. The day will start with breakfast, coffee and pastries followed by a tour of the workshops where technicians will be on hand to discuss all things Macan plus the workings of all the buttons and switches. One of our very new members will have his brand new Macan GTS on display which is fitted with the latest IPhone type large screen PCM which is already in the 991 Gen2 and will make its way into the whole Porsche range in due course. Service Manager Howard Parsons will also be on hand and asks that you send me any questions you'd like to raise in advance so they can have vehicles prepared ready for discussion. I have already mentioned that I'd like to see how the Adblue in the diesel variant can be topped up by the DIY enthusiast, so this is your opportunity to get the facts from the experts! Following the Porsche Centre activities, we plan a short drive out for an afternoon bite to eat at a country pub, so please let me know if this is of interest, again so I can have an idea of numbers.
Kind regards,
Mike Allen

Wouldn't mind that visit, actually. Problem is I shall be leading a load of 997's around the West Country on that day! [:)]

Clive.

A friendly PCGB member local to Solihull has kindly got in touch and pointed out that the address I've given in the April edition of Porsche Post for PC Solihull is incorrect. For those attending the Macan Workshop visit this coming Saturday 2nd April please note the correct address is Highlands Road, Solihull West Midlands B90 4GT so if you find yourself at a Fiat garage its the wrong postcode!! There are still a couple of spaces if other members would like to join us, but be quick or all the bacon butties will have gone!!
Regards, Mike

Thanks Mike for arranging and organising a really nice day, I got some very useful and interesting information from Stephen in the workshop, a good discussion with Dan, nice breakfast and the lunch venue was perfect. Nice to meet fellow Macan owners and another GTS driver on the same day, now that must be a rarity.
These sort of events take a lot of organising and I thought it went very well so thanks for all the effort you put in to make it happen.

I've received very positive feed back so many thanks to all for supporting this event and glad to know that it came up to expectations and beyond. I was very grateful to Terry Hobson Dealer Principal who agreed to stage this event for the Macan Register and thought that Dan Taylor and the staff did a great job in providing a exceeding well organised day which was most informative and included a tour of the adjacent Ferrari dealership with its amazing cars with equally amazingly eye watering price tags. However, I believe most realised why the 911 remains the true everyday supercar.
I hope to announce the winner of the Macan Quiz shortly who will receive a pair of full hospitality tickets to the FIA World Endurance Championships at Silverstone on Saturday 16 April courtesy of Porsche centre Solihull- there might even be a wooden spoon award too!
Regards,
Mike

Although I wasn't able to make this event I actually picked up my new Macan from there on Thursday, the sales team were great. If there are any hints & tips about owning and driving the Macan Diesel you found useful I'd love to hear especially with the new PCM!?

I sent an email to Mike separately, but would echo the comments made in this thread.
