hi, if you are going to Stuttgart, then you will go right pass Sinsheim Museum..... biggest indoor mechanical museum in Germany, with both a Concorde and Concordski on the roof.... See you at the Old timer GP..... we are a group of 28 people from Region 17... are you using the Porsche Hospitality at the Ring ? Cheers Charlie

Morning all, am just looking at a euro road trip in early august to porsche museum and old timer Grand Prix at the nurburgring on 7-9 August.
Leaving on Sunday 2 august via tunnel with a stopover at Reims on the way to Stuttgart, then north to Bad Neuenahr for the OldTimer GP weekend to return on 10/11 August
I know Germany pretty well, but am looking at things either automotive or military/aviation related not too far from the autoroute to stop and have a look at, either on the outbound or inbound journeys.
Any ideas, suggestions and experiences to share?
Thanks in anticipation

Thanks Charlie! I know is sinsheim museum well and you are quite right, it is an amazing place as is its partner museum at speyer near Karlsruhe. Do you have any more info on the Porsche hospitality and how I might get a couple of places for Saturday and Sunday ? Thanks again for your help Stuart

stuart, give me a call..... 07966 126464... its about 290 euros each...... all in.... parking/tickets/ free drink and food all weekend...

Sadly, Porsche have sold out all their hospitality packages which Charlie mentioned, so have gone with normal tickets at 40 Euros for weekend, which is a bargain IMO,

Have now posted the road trip itinerary in the RR report.

Also switched to Locktons for the euro breakdown cover, just in case and fingers crossed!
