Visit to Porsche Specialist Sat 20th Oct

Hi Guys As your register secretary I always looking for ideas and have made arrangements with a Hertforshire based Porsche Specialist v.knowledgeable on 968's and is currently building a race car for the 968 PCGB races. Saturday 20th October is when it will happen and I will confirm more later. i need your support, we can accommodate up to about 30 cars do you think the 968 register can muster that sort of number otherwise i might invite the 944's along !! At least things are happening the Register Display day at Calke Abbey nr Derby is happening Sept 8th another date for your diaries, that will probably incorporate The FrontRunners so we should have a good turn out. Please keep readfing the 968 Porsche Post column for any updates. Wi;ll be at Bands Hatch this Saturday in the 968 to see them racing cheers Ken Coad register sec

Ken, good work on organising this.

Which specialist is it by the way? and who is driving the 968 they are building? ... will it be at Brands?
 
Hi Guys The Porsche Specialist is RPM based at Long Marston airfield trading estate near Tring. Don't know who the owner/driver is of the 968 race car they are building. Enjoyed Brands Porsche Club Championship races last Saturday, met up with Paul Follett Andy Duncan And James Hilleard all in 968's and pressing on in their races .Bit hectic up front watching the top Porsche racers trounced by a Boxster - on the limit and almost beyond - great stuff reminded me of Jason Plato in the BTCC racing recently. thrilling to say the least viewing from paddock bend. It was a great oportunity on the way there to gun the 968, its going well now.getting better all the time. Must diarise another one of the rounds to visit..cheers Ken Coad

It is very quiet around here, so I'm not sure we'd get all that many along......
