Visit to PorscheCars

If you have read the March issue of Porsche Post you will note that I am organising a visit to Porsche Cars Reading on 2 April. Starting at 0930, this will include a 'pep talk', tour of facilities, technical presentation, lunch and, importantly, the chance to ask questions to those who are in the real know! A surprise is also in store for those who attend. Numbers are limited to 40 and also to 997 Register members only (see there had to be a reason to join). If you and your partner wish to attend, please e-mail me on djs5@coln.freeserve.co.uk, but be quick.

I know you said e-mail, but it has packed up. Love to go to this, looks like an excellent day. Put me down for attending with my 12 year old son. The good lady might find all this too much to handle.[:D]

Nearer the time I'll post a definative list of those attending. If anyone does not wish to have their name in print, please let me know.

Hi
Derek
Have sent e-mails to you re: Porsche visit if they have been recived please ignore this message, as dissused via previous e-mail would like to go.

You were going to post who's coming tomorrow. Any chance of seeing the list here or as an e-mail? The missus was interested to see if any other girlfriends/wives were being dragged along.
Peter

Well, as well as myself, my other half Claire is going, although I don't think she regards it as being "dragged" along[:D]

Quote "The missus was interested to see if any other girlfriends/wives were being dragged along".

In that case I'm sure she would also be interested in the restraints I found fitted to my 997, and I also note in the New Boxster photo attached.

Has Mark these useful Germanic devices fitted to his car I wonder, hence the lack of protest.

See you tomorrow

James

We enjoyed meeting everyone hope to meet again soon.
Despite various niggles regarding Porsche service - today I experienced first class service from Reading.
I had booked my 997 in for warranty work at short notice for 9.30am this morning. Work was completed to high standard with a smile prior to our meeting at 11.00. Excellent technician, friendly communicative and efficient I was impressed and pleased to give credit where credit is due!

Derek
Many thanks to you and to Porsche Reading for todays meet may it be the first of many.

Thank you

Kindest regards

James and Tom

Claire and I would also like to say thanks to Derek for organising this, and to Geoff and his team for being such good hosts.
