Saturday 7th - Sunday 8th September Visit to the Jim Clark Museum
We have planned a visit to the newly refurbished Jim Clark Museum (Duns, Scottish Borders, TD11 3AU) and there are two options we have decided on:
Weekend: Drive up on the Saturday and visit The Borders Distillery (whisky and gin) in Hawick (TD9 7AQ) then head to the hotel for an overnight stay. On Sunday, travel down to the Jim Clark Museum (arriving at 1pm) to meet up with the rest of the group for the tour and then have a stop off for afternoon lunch in the area before heading home.
We have decided to stay at the Peebles Hydro Hotel and Spa (EH45 8LX). Dinner, B&B costs £171 if booked now, with no cancellation, or £190 if booked with free cancellation.

Sunday Only: Meet up at Sally’s in Warwick Bridge (CA4 8RN) around 10am for an 11am departure via the A7/A68 to Duns. Arrive and meet up with the rest of the group at the Jim Clark Museum for the tour at around 1pm with a stop off for afternoon lunch in the area before heading back home.
For those that wish to join us for either option can you please email us so that we know the numbers and can plan accordingly? Entry to the Jim Clark Museum as a group is £4pp.
We have just been informed that the Tour of Britain Cycling Event is passing through Duns on the Sunday around 12.50 with a Sprint for points in the town so this will give us something else to watch for those interested in cycling.
