"National Birds of Prey Centre" - Helmsley

NCBP.jpg

The National Centre for Birds of Prey in Helmsley (NCBP) is a new visitor attraction situated at the magnificent Duncombe Park estate in Helmsley. The Owl House Cafe is set within the grounds and serves a variety of locally sourced snacks, hot and cold meals. The NCBP houses the largest collection of birds of prey in the north of England. Witness these incredible birds taking to the skies against the spectacular backdrop of the Duncombe Park. Admission to the Centre also includes admission into the surrounding 300 acres of parkland with 2 marked trails. Take your time looking around the 40+ aviaries. The highlight been a flying demonstration by a selection of the Birds of Prey.

I've arranged a visit to the (NCBP) with a group discount and reserved park on arrival.

I've got a "Drive Out" route planned beforehand starting from the NY500 Cafe

Details of the route to be confirmed closer to the date.

But it incorporates both the B1257 (known as the "Helmsley TT") and the A170, including the ascent of Sutton Bank

The route should take around 2hr (66 miles). The 'Helmsley TT" is a well known driving route

The plan is :-
Meet at the NY500 Cafe 10am Leaving no later than 11am (NY500, Malton Road, Pickering, YO188EA) - time for tea/coffee/breakfast
Leave NY500 11am for 2hr route
2hr Drive

Hello Mark and Julie

I have booked for myself and partner Karen and have just emailed through our details.

Many thanks Paul

Hello Mark & Julie

I have got something already booked later in the afternoon but would like to join you for the earlier drive. The Bilsdale road is one of my favourites & I have not been up there for a few months.

Do you want my details for the drive only?

Regards

Chris
