Vpower nitro

Just got notification of this from Shell. Not sure if it is a replacement for V power or in addition to it. Certainly wasn't in my local station earlier this week and it's not mentioned on the Shell "find a station" part of their website.

Yep, I got the shell mail also going to call up the local stations, see if they do it, or when. Need fuel for StGeorges this weekend. I expect they will run both because this stuff is going to cost a bomb, unless they drop standard vpower to stitch us on this instead?

It's a replacement and will cost the same, apparently. Not going to be 102 RON though, I doubt!

Also running here

Okay from Shell, Vpower is finished today, replaced by Vpower nitro plus, still 5% max ethanol, bio product additive, still 99ron in UK, price should be similar.

Filled up with the Nitro stuff today, 99 Ron and 140.8p per litre.......the bumf in the leaflet reckons it contains 25% more friction modifier, its practically reconditioning your engine as you drive!

My local still selling standard v-power, filled up today before reading this.

I'm feeling conned!

ah but did you get home quicker[:D][:D]

Just returned from a trip to Germany where the filling stations seem to offer a bewildering range of nozzles to choose from - all the ones that we have (except VPower being 102) then most of them again with E10. I fear it's time to start looking for ways to make our cars E10 compatible.

spoke with Shell tech last week and was told that Shell UK have no plans to increase the ethanol addition from what the standard was on Vpower, remaining at 5% max, however there are different standards to their fuels throughout the world, and for sure in Europe, it was suggested that pressure was being brought to increase ethanol content, but Shell was resisting that within the UK, the bad news is we are only getting 99ron, where some other territories are getting up to 102ron, but of course this calculation also differs in country to country.

Just put £60 worth in, it felt fast.[;)]
ah! so the marketing works then? [:D] I have put in 2 tanks worth now, and have to say not noticed any difference, from what was already a great product, in my opinion? however, did the garages ditch all the old leftover vpower on changeover night[:D] or just stick the new label on? How much of the new stuff have we actually had in our cars yet? not much I bet from some of the less busy sites!
