The wandering 996TT has now had a new front diff, four new Michelin Sports and a four wheel alignment at Reading OPC. With each change I had around a week to assess the impact, so what's the verdict?
Firstly, the new diff made no difference, secondly, the tyres made a huge, huge difference and lastly, the four wheel alignment had much less of an effect, but, after a few days there was a difference and the handling is now just fantastic - like driving a new car!
So in my experience I found the tyres to be the major cause of 996TT wandering. I'm sure the alignment is important and it has to be right, but it's not the most significant impact.
It would be interesting to know if my experience is common?
Thanks for all of your help on this
Cheers, Paul
