Wanted: 924 2.0

Hi Guys,

I'm looking for a structurally sound 924 with a strong engine and gearbox, not too worried about cosmetic condition as I will be converting to a track day car / possibly Lodge 924 series in the future!

If anyone has one or knows of one please let me know (I'm in Essex BTW).

Thanks

Tim.

Looks like a nice car David, but I really want one that I can build up myself over the winter. Now my 911's all done I'm sitting about twiddling my thumbs.

Cheers anyway!

Tim.

Try:

quite a few already converted cars for sale.

Yeah thanks I have seen those.

My current plan is to prep a car myself and keep it road legal for as long as possible. This will enable me to drive to the track and do some track days. Then once I've got some practise in I'll convert it to a pure racer and join in the 924 championship! (Don't think I'm ready for full on racing with just one track day under my belt!)

Cheers,

Tim.

Have you seen this one Tim, still road legal. has been for sale for around 3 months could be ripe for a deal. Should be cheaper than fully converting.

Yep seen that one too Kevin, left a few messages/emails for seller but no response so I'm guessing it's sold.

There doesn't seem to be that many around at the moment [:(] Checked all the usual places, autotrader, loot, 911 &PW, GT PP, Porsche post etc...

Cheers,

Tim.

What. thats it? No details?

[:D]

Yeah that's it really! Just a guards red 924 in very good (probably too good for racing) condition.

Got it for £800, including a 924 plate (dunno how much they are worth!), a nice pair of leather seats, a spare pair of seats, re-furbed alloys, spare set of alloys, new dash etc... Should be able to sell some of this stuff to fund the first stage of conversion (rollcage & bucket seats)

Cheers,

Tim.

Jeez Tim. You've stolen my idea!!!!

I'm (not too actively) looking for a real cheap one for dailly driver / track day use. Not so easy to find when you only want to spend a few hundred.

Nah not yet, there's no chance that I am going to make the last race this year so I can relax a bit and see what pops up between seasons, I'm also going to price up building my own, as my rough estimates keep coming in around the £3.5k, so either way I will be at Donnington getting advice and making a nuisance of myself in the paddock.

I take it you have seen the Ebay car reapear £[

Congrats on yours, let me know when she gets her first outing.

Kevin,

That's the sort of figure I keep coming to (without engine mods though!)

I'll probably be at Donnington, but have heard that they are doing another 924 race experience which may be at Donnington too, so I may book that (looks like fun). Did you see the 911 & PW article?

Cheers,

Tim.
