Wanted 993 CLubsport

RS 197

New member
I will be in the UK the week of the 1st through the 8th. Of January.

I am a collector that is looking for a good expample 993 RS, 964 RS. I have found a couple of very nice cars and am looking forward to verifing there condition and getting them back to the states.

A freind of mine loaned his 993 RS CS out for the last 15 min of an Enduro Race and he smashed it. He is need a RS CS to race next season. I told him I would help him hunt while I am in town. Any leads will be rewarded. This guy needs a car. He races in over 20 events a year, he is a lost soul without a car.

Any help would be great.

Any ideas on the best places to pound a pint would also be helpfull.

Joe, thought the RoW spec 964RS and 993RS were outlawed in the States let alone a Clubsport N/GT!.......would recommend GT Classics in the UK speak to Paul McClean UK Mobile 07976746158.........these cars are fewer and fewer be prepared to pay$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

is this a wind up?

Des, you can use them in the states on the road under their "show cars" classification, only problem is it is limited to 2-2500 miles a year. RS197 does say the car will be raced, so assuming the car complies with the regulations of the particular series then it shouldn't be such a problem.

RS197, I try to keep up with RS & Clubsports for sale in the UK,, it appears less than a handful come up for sale in the Uk in any given year.

Why not consider a cup car? There are roughly3 times as many cup cars as NGT made,,,,there is a nice one at Gmund in Yorkshire.
One or 2 other cups around one even being decribed as a CS, I couldn't posssibly make comment about that car on a public forum.

With respect to sinking the ale, UK village is a reasonable sized place......more than enough choice, depends what you are looking for.

My freind has to have a CS because of the class that he runs in. I have a 993 cup that I would sell him but that bumps him up a class.
You can import 993/964 rs's into the states if you make them DOT compliant. That takes a litlle money and a little time. I hope to drive both on the streets.

Thanks for the pub info. We will have 4 thirsty mouths after 10 hours in that Bird.

I have a deposit on a 993 RS to hold pending inspection. I am working on a contract on a 964 RS. I have been contacted by 2 other people to search for cars for them as well as the Club Sport. The clubsport is the hard one.

Any help would be great.
