Hi, Boxster owners I've popped over from the Macan side [:)] for some expert advice.

We currently have a 2021 Macan S and are looking to add a Boxster 981 to the garage, I would be very grateful for any pointers and purchasing tips specific to the 981 Boxster.

Thanks in advance

Good choice. Found it really useful just to read through the Boxster posts to get a feel for owners experiene. All the usual caveats. Full dealer history, some remaining OEM (extended) warranty. This should ensure that you have right tyres etc. Choose your spec. There are as normal lots of options, but mostly to do with taste. You should be able to obtain a copy of the options list from the vendor. Not all dealers can be bothered. Think what you are going to use it for? No point in having 18 way seats for track days? for. Fully specced ones hold their price. Once you see one you want act quickly. Ended up taking a flyer on mine because they were all going so quickly. As it was at a Porsche dealer felt that wasn't such a risk. Looked at a lot of S's but ended up with a GTS. Really pleased that I did.

I am very pleased to have finally added a beautiful mellow yellow 981 alongside my Macan S, courtesy of a very nice gentleman from the BoxaNet website who very kindly let me take ownership of his well specced and immaculate yellow 981 on Friday and I couldn't be more pleased.

It was a long traffic filled drive from Kent back to Norfolk but with the top down for almost the whole journey it was well worth it and I'm looking forward to many years stewardship of this terrific little car. đź‘Ť
