If any one wants the plate let me know.
Ill probably be on here a bit more for some advice in the not to distant future [:)]

Looks good Kevin [:)]

Do you compete with minimum modifications or do have to strip the interior out?

Hi Paul
Car has to be standard production weight ( with no ballast ) so after cage etc. there will be a minimal strip. after that you are very restricted in modifications and the car still has to be road legal, but I will be getting quite serious with suspension setup and tyre choice, you even get extra points for driving it to the circuit! so this really is bottom rung heritage racing.
This weekends race at silverstone was won by the only other 924.

Sounds brilliant fun!
So do you have a removable roll cage for road use?

I've done a bit of zooming round a track in my 83 924 road car and can vouch for its fun factor, even with worn out suspension! [;)]

Myself I'd love to be part of an endurance race team - anyone need a driver for a 6/12/24 hour race!!??

No the cage will be fully welded you just have to make sure that it is WELL padded for use without helmet, any leads on a cheap cage would be appreciated all money saved is a bonus.

Have you looked into the 2CV 24hr race at snetterton? maybe we could field a Porsche team next year I'm up for it.

Sounds good mate, will be there to cheer you on in your first race

It would be good to see you there John, not back at your local till the 15th Oct.

Hi Kev,

Long time no hear!

I wondered what you were up to, last time we spoke you were talking about the Lodge 924 championship. Looks like you've found a fun alternative!

Good luck,

Cheers,

Tim.

Hi Tim
This is more of a stop gap/Cheap education for the rest of the year I was taking forever sorting out a series (ill health end of last year [:'(]) so this is something I can start now.
I'm getting the 911 sprayed due to a few stone chips then will sell that and start looking at a few different series, incl. Lodge, Max5. for next year, I have seen your progress on the Lodge forum and it looks great! looking forward to seeing your progress and I am allways in need of free advice on car setup cages etc..

Good luck with that, perhaps see you out on track with the Lodge guys next year then?

I shoud be hitting the track mid-June/July time, had a few delays getting the car done! Should have taken everyones advice last year and bought a ready built car!!

Shoot me an email anytime if you have any questions.

Cheers,

Tim.
