Wanted - Sun visor clip

About a quid (or thereabouts) from an OPC Don't be tempted to pay more for second hand old ones on Ebay

ORIGINAL: colin944 mk1 golf  part. see the cross reference doc on this forum under alternate part fitment.
Blimey, didn't think to check mk1 ... I'll have one in the garage [:D]

there you go that's another pound saved! If you keep going like this we will make a scotsman out of you yet.

the thing with 944 's that we all forget somtimes is that the 924 was started life as a volkswagen and the 944 and 968 are just variations of the 924. Also most 944's were built by Audi and by default are full of VAG parts. I am very fortunate to have a really good Volkswagen specialist in Ayr who knows all th e models from the 50's to the present day. This means I can remove a part from the 944 take it round to him and he will tell me which vw or audi it came from. I.e. did you know the rubbers on the spring plates on the back of your 944 come form a vw type 3 ( remember the old fastback) Porsche wanted a fortune for new spring plates but after a bit of cleaning and painting and £3 worth of vw rubbers mine were as good as new. So in the future when you need a bit try seeing if it's a vw part first. Most 944 and 924 parts are Mk1 golf audi 100 or old vw air cooled parts.

The sun visor clip are différent between 944ph1 and 944ph2 I'm not sure that the 2 models are from VW [;)]

youre right I think phs2 is a porche part although I would not rule out a late 80's audi .It's just that you need someone who really knows thier audi/volkswagen cars.

Not had time to check my MK1 golf yet, but the one I took out my 944 had an Audi logo on it. Out of interest I got a price from OPC today, £6.07 Inc VAT

I know people on ebay will always try to get as much as they can. I have a friend who was buying new parts from the dealers and selling them on ebay for a profit. It's always better to try to buy new forst and then look at ebay.

I just dug out my reciept from 6 months ago Exeter OPC charged me £5.85 for two including post and VAT I don't think under three quid for a main dealer part on a car that's been out of production for 20 years is bad at all
