Warranty as means of control

Started? This has been going on since the new EW was launched and is well documented on several forums. I couldn't put an OPC warranty on my car because the nose has Ventureshield on it. That was last summer.

 
Plenty of dealers have been fair and people I know that have paint protection and Speed detectors in their cars and all have Extended warranty, I know the same amount that are in a similar position though..[:(]
The dealers do read these pages, so the less said the better... [&:]

Shame, because it's otherwise a good value warranty.

Some OPCs do seem to take a sensible and pragmatic approach, whereas others are totally inflexible.

Presumably the underwriters make the rules and abiding by the letter of the terms allows no modifications. And, if you ask the question that's the official answer [&:]

No-one of those you know has a valid warranty though.

And in all honesty, if dealers do read these pages, the more said the better, though in discussion with my local OPC, they have no liking for the new EW because of the owners it has driven away.
