Hi folks,
Hope youre all well and staying safe.
My OPC warranty is up in May but clearly I can't get the inspection done and don't want it to expire where I can't get any defects done under the warranty that is currently live. Before I try and contact Porsche has anyone got any further info on this subject?

I'm in a similar position, my warranty expires in June, so if you hear back from Porsche can you let me know what they say?

Thanks,

Richard.

David,

Although I assume that there may be some telephone support, I think the problem is that the Dealers are closed. The service departments are still operating for essential service workers only, so maybe someone there could help?

I would imagine that Porsche are aware of the problem and should be aware that extended warranties are due for renewal. I'm sure they'll be contacting owners when appropriate, since they won't want to waste an opportunity to make more easy-money. [;)]

I received this from my OPC

Porsche Approved Warranty

Porsche Cars have informed their dealer network that will now provide a “grace period” of up to 45 days for warranty renewals, providing there is a traceable booking request with the dealership dated prior to the expiry of the customers current warranty policy, this will form part of the necessary documentation required to enable the warranty extension to be put in place if the policy expires during the period of “lockdown” when the dealership is unable to complete the 111 point check and policy documents.

Porsche delayed maintenance

Proper and timely maintenance is necessary to keep your Porsche operating correctly and is a prerequisite of both the manufacturers new and Approved warranty policies, Porsche has recognised the difficulties that may arise as a result of dealerships temporary closures and how it might affect customers maintenance schedules, to this end as with warranty renewals there is a similar provision in place, providing there is a maintenance booking logged with the dealership that coincides with the customers scheduled due date (existing bookings are okay, email is best for when a booking is required) Porsche will consider any future warranty or goodwill request favourably when the maintenance has been delayed due to a dealership closure.

Thanks Robin, exactly what I was after, mega helpful. I'll try and get a booking over email and instigate the 45 day grace period, stay safe my friend..
