I drove out of my village in the 'other' car and passed a red 964 convertible. I did a quick search to find out what the colour was and I'm sure I came across the advert for the one I passed! Looked very good condition.

Car and classic ad

Were any of you in Dumbleton nr Evesham at about 4pm?

PS what is the colour?

Is it velvet red metallic? It looks very similar to this one currently for sale

Velvet red - Think so

- drove past my house again tonight - so he must be a local! Held back the urge to flag him down [:)]

well your car has a double! I felt sure the reg plate had 964 in it too!

This reminds me of when I was a spotty youth. When my best friends father went out we would take his motorbike out for a spin. It started with a motorbike and ended with a garage-queen XR3i cab - aaah the 80's. Don't think he ever knew - shame about the threats from a well-meaning neighbour [:)]

Sean do you have a spotty youth? If so tell him he's been rumbled.

It just so happened the guy was waiting outside my house today so I said hello. He's a new 964 owner who has just joined the club with a car which looks and sounds great.

Sean - the very unusual thing is that it is the car from the ad in my first post - reg XIA 964. Did you say this was yours or did I misunderstand your reply?

Mystery solved, it's mine! A velvet red 1990 964 C4 cabrio, mid-life crisis and I love it!
