Washer bottle leaking

Happy new year everyone,

I had recently filled up my washer reservior with about 4 litres, and was surprised to see the washer low level warning light come on again yesterday.

I'm assuming it must be leaking out from somewhere, but where does this water go if it leaks out? I'm hoping it doesn't cause any damage or issues?

Will call OPC Hatfield on Tuesday....

One of the most common places for the leak to occur is in the connection to the headlight washers. If you remove the headlight units you can see the pipe and connection. It is worth checking these first. Normally any leakage will just run out underneath the car without causing any damage.

Had this happen to me (997 C2S Gen1) as well but only when it was extremely cold. Apparently the water froze at the front for the headlight washers and then the pipe just popped off with the pressure being applied. Extremely expensive to rectify at the OPC for such a minor issue; around £165 as they apparently needed to take the front bumper off. Hatfield may be kinder to you than West London ;-)

Thanks guys,

Think I'll phone JZ Machtech instead then!...I don't trust it to do myself so will pop up there.
