Washer bottle

Did any 944's come with the washer bottle in the inner wing like on the 968's as im after one because the original has to be removed to fit the headlamps in.

Weren't the 968's a different wing design? I think the washer bottle is probably in the same place as it is on a 944 but the top of the wing curves in so the bit in front of the strut tower is actually inside the wing. I've got no photo's at hand to post that show's this but I'm sure i've seen one recently and remember noticing this.

Cars without headlight washers have a much smaller one. I think you need to find a non-UK S2 or Turbo for it to both be the right thing and to fit.

On 968 the filler is at the back of the right wing, front of the battery. I suppose the bottle is down in the wing somewhere behind the ABS unit ?

Once the new headlamps are fitted there is no room on the inner wing for a bottle,on my old 44 i had to mount one on the n/s chassis leg but on the turbo there is even less room. I was looking at pazzers lhd CS last week (968 forum member) and the filler neck is near the vin plate so i presume that the bottle must run down behind the side repeater ??

Isn't that where all the ABS gubbins is? - unless they've moved it on the 968.

I suppose the headlights on the 968 are further up the wing than on the 944 so the space in front of the strut tower will be occupied by the headlight mechanism.

Random Hero - are you removing your pop-up headlight and fitting fixed ones?
Im putting 968 headlamps in but might go with some fixed 68 lights this time round though as there lighter.

Anyone removed the washer bottle?
Is it easy once the headlamps are in the 'on' position?
I have to take mine out (headlamp wash version) and it looks a pig of a job so I've been putting it off for ages.

It's a pig of a job as I understand it. Much more involved than just popping up the headlight.
