Water Hose - Top of Coolant Reservoir

Howdy,

Well after changing out the radiator of my 944 lux this afternoon, encounteing numerous obstacles such as snapped bolts and rust hose clamps I finally managed it,

popped out 10 mins ago to fill her up in the dark and came across a significant leak.

Not from any of the hoses that attach to the radiator but to a hose I had never noticed before.

A small thin water hose that attaches to the top of the coolant reservoir has come loose from somewhere (its still attached to the reservoir)

I can't for the life of me see where this is supposed to attach(though it is dark)

Can anyone advise?

Not familiar with the lux, but a thin hose attached to the TOP of the coolant reservoir that is not connected to anything sounds like the overflow?

Is the car overheating and blowing it's coolant out?

That hose is the coolant overflow hose so it's just come out as the expansion tank has filled.

I need to drain and change the coolant soon so am interested what back-filling the block is? Was just going to follow the guide on Clarke's.
