Water ingress

The first thing to check on the sunroof is the drains. Take the roof out and pour some water into the lip of the opening, the water should drain away and come out the back of the car either side of the spare wheel well. I unblocked mine with a length of cable but be carefull as the drain hoses can come off in the roof area (can also be the cause of the leak). The seals are a DIY job they just push on with care.

I am getting slight water ingress in the front area and rear of my S2. I noticed after very heavy rain that the driver's seat and one of the rear seats was a little wet and also it is damp in inside the ash tray. The roof lining is sagging at the rear and if you open the rear hatch you can see the previous owner has unsuccessfully tried to stick the sagging panel up with contact adhesive.

I am having some re-trimming work done on the interior and need to sort the leak out before the work can commence. I suspect the sunroof is leaking. Would the best course of action be to replace the sunroof seal? What is involved in this? Is it a DIY job?

I also need to source a replacement rear panel. It is only a relatively thin panel that runs the width of the car just inside the hatch.

Any advice would be appreciated.
