WE have tracked the water leak down to coming from or around the Water Cooler on top of the Engine

What Water pipes are around the Cooler and does Water flow through the Oil Cooler from the Engine

Does anybody have a flow diagram

Thanks

So recovered car from Aberdyfi to Wolverhampton Porsche (160.00) Tuesday
Turns out its not the Oil Cooler (Which is under warranty from Porsche ) but the supply pipe - which is what I said in the first place

Porsche are going to fix it (And another pipe) at about 200.00

If Wynn had spotted that it was the pipes he could have done it probably cheaper and I could have avoided recovery of 160.00
Probably collected by now

But if Porsche Wolverhampton had told me a replacement Oil Cooler FITTED was 405.00 and labour charges where 60.00 per hour I would not have taken it away
and they could have fixed it while I was on holiday

WHAT A COCK UP! and waste of money

no wonder I always do my own work where possible but this work is not possible without a lift

Impressed with Porsche Wolverhampton but just wish they had given me a range of possible costs

If they had told me 400 for a oil cooler, 200 for a pipe and 2 grand for a head at least I would have known
Would have left it there over my holiday in Lincoln and saved taking it down to Aberdyfi !

Called there today to drop off another 5 litres of Coolant to match what is already in there (and in bottles in back of car) ,
Nearly ready for Coolant they will bleed it tonight hopefully ready to collect tomorrow

Lets see

At least Ive got a decnt guarantee if it goes wrong

And Wrong it went!!
Picked the car up really good price.
Got 25.00 of petrol 1 mile down the road
Then drove back to M54, Next Junction stopped at Filling station and the car DUMPED all the Coolant (Probably another pipe)
I said it cant have been tested - they said it was
How can they say it was tested when within 10 minute drive a pipe failed surely if had had a proper pressure test it would have failed

Sure it will be sorted but its not acceptable
