Water Leak in passenger door

caz

New member
Hi - I'm new to this forum having only had my '02 911 4S for 4 months. But have been browsing quietly without posting until now!

Just driven my car down to Brighton and have discovered that the passenger door under the speaker is soaking wet as if water is being retained within the door. This has obviously blown the speaker as that is now not working! Fortunately the car is under an OPC warranty so I'm hoping all is covered. However thought I'd just try and find out if this is a common problem.

Any feedback welcome - thx

Hi,

Had the same problem with my 1998 C2.

It was the door waterproof membrane, which was replaced very easily, it cost me about £38 for the membrane from what I can remember.

Surprised you have it in such a new car ?

My passenger side went first, and the drivers door followed recently !!

Hope that helps.

Mark
