hiya all, noticed after leaving car out of the garage for the night, the next morning after rain during the night, that water had got into the foam at the bottom of the seat[drivers side] ,also the carpet just above seat on the right hand side was damp, the patch was about 8inches high and 3inches wide, the rest of the carpet, and seats were all bone dry, i squeezed water out of foam, and now dry, any opinions/ideas warmly welcomed! regards jason p

Sounds like sun roof leak, guessing you have one!
Check drains, I know you have to be careful about something but not sure what as I dont have one!
Cheers

If you do have a sunroof, take it out and you should see the drain holes, pour a little water into the lip and see if the water drains ok. If not some wire can be pushed down the drain to clear the blockage, being careful as it is possible for the drain pipes to be dislodged.

If you don't have a sunroof ignore everything I just said.

I've just cured this exact problem on my 924s by fitting a new outer sunroof seal, all my drains were clear it was the seal that had cracked and rusted from the inside out.

It also used to leak onto my swede from the front latches when i turned a corner, useful if i needed a shower but inconvenient otherwise. I was tipped off that rubbing Vaseline into the seal can stop it leaking but mine was too far gone.
