water leak

Has anyone come across a water leak from the washer bottle - mines leaking from under the front of the car and its emptying the full bottle over a couple of days. Initially thought that it might be that one of the pipes to the headlamp washers had popped off but they are still working fine - any ideas.

This happened to me. Would fill up the water bottle and then watch as water poured out from underneath!

Eventually traced the leak to a worn seal on the pump. Replacd that and it cured the leak.

If you remove the RHS (from memory) headlamp unit you should be able to see the water bottle and pump assembly.

Hi, I live in sheffield so no surprises that it has been a bit damp around here lately. But when I went down to Goodwood a couple of weeks ago the 993 started misting up and I now realise that the rear nearside footwell is rather wet. Not immediately clear where the water has got in but I assume it could be the door seal. Any advice?

Door seals. I had exactly the same problem, replaced both mine, and hey presto - dry footwells.

Thanks for the advice guys. I will certainly check the rear washer pipe! The doorseals actually look pretty good. I guess I just have to pull the carpet right up and see if any residual dampness by rear of door. Is the sunroof ever a problem?

You have a rear washer pipe ? You lucky man. [8|]

My old door seals looked ok - they just weren't doing the job any more.

Let us know how you get on.
