Should I be concerned?..... Just got my 993 C4 MOT'd and the advisory listed a water leak

Anyone know where I should top it up - doh!

PS - made me laugh a little (maybe not if the car had failed though)

You have got a windscreen washer bottle, I presume[8|][8|] - where did they say the leak was[;)]?

I had a leak coming from underneath the passenger side front wing - suspected it was the washer bottle leaking. Only happened the once though.
Did have to replace the windscreen washer pump a while after - not sure if the two are related [:)]

I suggested to the guy who did the MOT that maybe it was condensation from the AC, having just spent a small fortune getting it working 100% it is now really efficient

Did they fit AC on cars these old sports cars then? was the reply

Ho hum - as long as it passed

Just had my AC fixed & it doesn't seem to get as cold as I remember it. How cold does yours get? & What settings do you use? i.e. which fan blower setting 1-4 do you maintain & do you recycle the air & if so for how long and do you use the AC Booster and if so for how long?

Now it's working correctly I just leave it on fan setting 1 and set the temp to around 21 deg. I haven't had to use the booster even on that one hot day we had this year. I think the problem was that when I got it recharged, the increase in pressure caused leaks all along the system. I fitted a new condensor which was weeping and that was not the only problem - I took it to an AC specialist and they found that the pipes that run along the chassis had worn through where the retaining clips are fitted (common apparently) and that's where the real cost came in - those pipes ain't cheap!
