I have a 2000 2.7. I noticed recently that when the car is parked and the temperature drops at night the inside of the windows mist up. Thinking that it was probably water from my shoes dripping on to the carpet as I got in I thoroughly dried the car out. Strangely during the recent dry spell the carpet behind the drivers heel mat always felt slightly damp, so I dried it again using a fan heater.
There were no hood leaks, and no sign of drips from the roof seal or around the panel. After the very heavy rain we had on the 19th Dec, I immediately checked for leaks and a damp carpet, and found just a damp carpet. When I checked today some 12 hours after the rain the carpet on the drivers side was soaked, very worrying.
Has anyone had a similar experience and found a possible answer.
Any advice would be appreciated before I have to take the car in for an expensive strip out?
