Hi, i'm about a week away from having my 944t back after two years!! But theres just a few parts I need to get my hands on. Apparently the turbo itself has its own watercooling system that kicks in when the engine is switched off, and my pump has seized. Anyone know the part number or where to get one new or second hand?

You can give me a call on 07000 996 911 as I should have a spare one if you have no luck.

Or try Porschapart, simon who runs it is very reliable and honest about his parts, probably the only breaker I would recommend.

My car has not had one since 1990.

I just let it idle for a minute before switching off, cools the oil aswell[;)]

I shall watch this closely. I know my turbo pump is inoperative and I assumed I should get it fixed asap.

Lots of them are broken and people don't even know. I'd have it working in preference to not (it's cheap and easy to fix usually), but it's not necessary.

Also worthy of note is that a lot of Turbos still have the blank on the water pump where the turbo pump connects, so there isn't actually any flow to it; you have to drill out the web when fitting the pump to a Turbo but not everyone knows that.

Good tip, I didn't know.
