Water water everywhere!

My 993's got water in the boot/trunk. Seems to be on spare wheel, under spare wheel, even right up at the front, behind the front panel (either side of bonnet catch).

I changed the bonnet seal, but problem persists. I made sure that the rubber stops were screwed right down to ensure a good seal between the bonnet/seal, but nope, still water getting in! I have used a jetwash recently, but it has happened even before I did that.

Is this a known problem or am I a peculiar case? Thanks in anticipation...
 
My 964 boot (which had a similar design) leaked because the front wings had been removed and not put back on properly after an accident. I fixed it by running sealant under the rubber boot seal to make an effective seal.

I also wonder if you still have the little rubber drain tubes present - there should be two or three of these allowing water to drain out of the boot. It is possible that water could come up through the open holes if these were missing and you have driven through standing water.
