Just reading a few posts and the comments re waving and was it you? The lock down escape of late has been to drive to South Shields, park on the front and purchase an ice cream from a local well know supplier. Of late, I have been able to park directly outside, always a bonus. As my wife and I have stood in the queue, many walkers have stopped and admired the car. Many have stopped and spoken to us, one even offering his dog in exchange. Everyone has been more than pleasant. The most common question being.... "what colour is that?"
Then a drive up the coast to Roker and exchange nods and waves with all manner of car owners, I find Scooberoos very engaging. It just brightens the day, followed by a quick thrash down the A1M. Normally pursued by an Audi driver. Job done spirits lifted. Then you see a Porsche driver raise a hand and they look back as if they have trodden in something.
Do you wave? Return waves? Nod head? Scowl? I am like the Churchill dog.
I know it's drivel, but it is Saturday morning..... (I know it's Friday)
