Was that anyone on here, Its the first time another Boxster owner has waved back!!!!

You were in an Artic Silver Boxster, and I was in another with the Roof Down[:D]

I find I get a lot more waves back when I have the roof down.
But maybe it is because it is easier for them to see me waving maniacly out of the top rather than through the screen!

Sorry but I find that most owners of new Porsche's do not wave back I am not geting at Boxster's or 996 , it is usualy people who drive older models that wave I thing they call them enthusiast's Cheers and a wave goodbye Brian RO1

Boxster or not, I make a point of waving. If only to show that modern Porsche drivers are friendly people and can be just as enthusiastic as the classic owners. [;)]

Me too and my daily drive, Mini Cooper S, gets totally ignored 99/100 on average [;)] so its not just a Porsche thing me thinks []

Well I do. Sometimes I forget which car I'm in - so if you're in your Porsche and you get an enthusiastic wave from a Black Seicento Abarth driver that'll be me (so wave back please? [:D] )

Since joining the PCGB and reading the posts about waving, I NOW wave, but didn't before......I was too shy![:)] Like you Mark, I sometimes wave to people from "Scooty" , forgetting what car I'm in and get some strange looks![:D]

Jane[;)]

Drive through London a couple of times of week but like you Jane, don't feel confident enough to wave to other Porsche drivers as until this week have not seen it done. Leaving the staff car park at Heathrow in my Boxster S a guy waved from his 924....nice one! Had the PCGB sticker on the windscreen too!

I'm on a mission to have a Cayenne driver wave back at me - even in sympathy![:D]

I see an average of three on my way to work and the drivers of them are a right miserable lot (just the specific drivers I see you understand - not aimed at Cayenne drivers in general).

There must be one of the miserable lot I see on my way to work who can be converted to the waving brotherhood![8D]

Truck drivers have very stressful journeys these days with current mod cons! like cameras, speed humps, bus lanes, width restrictions, parking restriction etc so you must appreciate taking a hand of the wheel could be a serious offence whilst trucking along []

I wave at P.cars all the time no matter what car im driving, i even had a return wave from a 996 when i was driving my Ickle Smart car.
I forgot what i was driving in !

Maybe a day of grassing up non wavers on here should be set [;)]

Ive never had a cayenne driver wave back either, saying that id have sore arms if they all as they seem to be more common than Boxsters around this part (mountainous Hampshire) !!

No, it wasn't me either. I don't wave any more. A number of years back on a number of occasions whilst driving my other car, a Volvo Estate, a wave of thanks for a kindness received was misinterpreted as a rude gesture! Better I find to flash my headlights as a sign of recognition to an oncoming fellow enthusiast, and despite sometimes getting the model wrong (996 etc) I often get a 'flash reply!'
Hi Helen, from your kind of A22 Grandad. [:)][:)]
