We Buy Any Car

Hi Adam,

that seems really strange.

maybe try and input the details again…. Thanks to we buy any car I was able to part ex a 1 year old cayman for the same money I bought it for.

they tend to be pretty good on Porsche values.

sounds like they may have an error on the system or something

Adam,

That figure is definitely an error. Valued my 2018 car recently for interest against 2 OPC's and they offered more !! Not impressed by OPC valuations right now when we know used values have increased sharply due to stock shortages etc.

RB

I though I'd run this past you guys, as I was gob smacked.

I was persuaded to get a quote from We buy Any Car.com, despite my better judgement, I gave it a go this morning.

For a 718 Cayman 2017 model, with loads of options, 31,500 miles, they offered £150.00!!!!!

Needless to say, they are cowboys and there email have been blocked.

Anyone really interested in the car let me know.

Regards

Adam

Thanks Robert

I resubmitted on a PC rather than a phone and got a valuation of £40,740, which is much nearer what I was expecting.

How did you find them to deal with, I have heard stories of the knocking the valuation for very dubious reasons etc.

Adam

Just to bare in mind … If you can wait a few weeks they often email you with an increased offer… mine jumped up 2k

That's good to know. I have just extended the finance with Porsche to give me a bit more flexibility, but can certainly wait to get a better offer.

I have told Porsche Swindon that I am looking for them to better the offer if they want the car, which they do.

i managed to get 1200 more than the we buy any car price from the dealer. They then listed the car for an addition 2800 on top of that - seems about right

Admittedly for a 2009 gen 2 Boxster, fish 65k

wbac offered 9.3 k, many cars on Autotrader asking 14k

I would expect to be knocked down for anything less than a perfect car for bottom book money.

Motor trade want perfection for nothing, always have.

Try private or specialists first.

Currently my Boxster is going up £700 a week with we buy any car. if that keeps going they can have it in another 10-15 weeks :) Currently I am at £33K for a 2013 Boxster S

Have a look at another website, Motorway. We sold the other half’s Merc on there. 2.5 year old GLC with 32k on the clock and made £3k profit! £5k more than Merc valued it at.

I sold on wizzle

got £3k more than WBAC or these sort of sites.

trade only auction which you can say no to, cars sold in 7 days to highest bidder or you just say no and don't sell it.

https://www.wizzle.co.uk

no hassle and a guy just picked it up and I was paid by a dealer.

For those that gave advice on this.

I have been watching WBAC, and their valuation of £40,780.00 has dropped to £40,000.00 and stuck at that level, no increase in the few weeks that they have contacted me.

I need to take some more photos and will try again on Wizzle and Motorway. I'll also try and advert on here, worth £5, to see if any members are interested.

Just took the plunge with the GT4 ....

WBAC ... £5k less than OPC`s are currently selling at, a decent offer given that OPC`s add 10 - 20% to their p/x offers to sale price

Motorway ... £700 less than ^ but this is quoted as an initial offer pending them canvassing their associated buyer network

Carwow = Wizzle ... only recognised my car as a `Cayman` with a lesser valuation to match, may have changed if I had uploaded photos and completed the process ?

WBAC ... now and historically is by far the easiest I have used and offers the highest initial value, given that they have local inspection sites to provide validation

thing is Wizzle you will not know till it ends so initial value means nothing.

I got £3k more than WBAC and I know WBAC would have knocked a lot off for curbed wheels and a dent all of which I put on my wizzle pics and was very open.

all the main buyers are on Wizzle, mine went to the jardeen motor group.

it s 7 day auction which you can say no at the end to, no reserves no hassle, you get bids and at any time you can say yes.

guy turned up, money was in my bank then I let the guy drive off in it. I even got £500 more than I was going to put it up private ! I did not have to wash it or leave my house or barter on price for daft items which WBAC do. so imo far more hassle to leave your house and then not get offered the price quoted.
