Hi all,

We are planning a run this coming Wed, departing Dobbies Garden Centre Stirling at 7.15pm, for a drive along to the Oak Tree Inn at Balmaha. (just for some pub food)

Please post or email if you are coming along as if we have large numbers i will need to book tables,

If anyone from the glasgow side doesnt want to drive to stirling first, they can meet up at Drymen for the run to Balmaha. (I am working in Edinburgh Wed so i will meet at Dobbies for 7pm)

Weather looking wet until Wed afternoon, but forecast at present looks ok for Wed evening.

regards
Scott

Well it just proves that those improptu events turn out so well, Porsche, Ferrari and boats too. Add in some good food and great company it turns out to be a fantastic and memorable night.

I bet you're glad you turned up Richard!!

Scott,

I left my camera at my brothers last night, should get it back on Sunday, I'll post the photos then.

Andy(Waugh), do you have any of the boats?

Brian, we all had a great time it was fortunate we met up with a VIP party of German tourists who had taken over the restaurant and had a number of activities set up at Loch Lomond. We were taken in as their guests when we arrived to eat,(they had taken over the whole restaurant), and ended up involved in all sorts of things.

Bill

the RED car was the one that everyone was interested in !

Just thought I'd post to thank Scott & Bill for organising a great evening out at balmy Balmaha.

The weather picked up as promised, and the blast from Drymen more than entertaining with the roads being pretty "green".

I still don't know how Bill managed to get us in to the restaurant but it might have had something to do with the cars (well except the "red car" but then we can't all be perfect).
Margaret was delighted with quick spin in the plane - must have had something to do with the drink and the party games, she's not usually that relaxed about flying!
Then again, everything was in German so she probably didn't understand she had won a prize.

Can we get that bloke with the plane to join up so we can get more freebies??

Cheers
Andrew

PS Bill - will try to post photos later, don't have the camera here at work.

Andy,

Power of the Porsche "air cooled" car. Two of the guys have Porsches back in Germany, albeit oldermodels it got the conversation going and the objective achieved.

Margaret really did get into the spirt of the games despite obviously not knowing the rules and Richard was displaying his detailed knowledge of Germany and all things German, musty have been all his time in the army!!

Scott, we could have used the "wee fa**y" award near the end.[:D]

Cheers

Bill

I got my brother to email one photograph, screwed my inbox for 10 mins though. Sorry about the quality.

Well that must have been one of the best Club evenings since I joined! Not that I'm saying I preferred the company of the Germans to our members, but they really pushed the boat out for us. I might have passed on the last game we had to play, but it would have been rude not to join in. I'm just glad we didn't have to wear the lederhosen........ [:D]

I wonder if they're coming back next year? Did you ask them, Scott?

Cheers
Richard

Getting more and more depressed every time some one adds to this post seems we all missed a great night .....all because I had to attend a Rotary meeting......no more post please[:D][:D]

Don't feel too sick about it, Brian. You were probably right not to bodyswerve the Rotary - as our new German friends would say: Dienst ist dienst - and airsick would have been even worse. The pilot seemed to get a bit gung-ho and I thought Margaret looked slightly green afterwards. [:'(]

A great night though and we learned their Club song, which Scott might be persuaded to give a rendering of, if the barbie goes well at Doune on Sunday. Not me, I'm afraid - people pay me not to sing. With luck someone will bring the pics.

Your all a bunch of nutters!!!!!!

I think you were all on the Red Bull.......that gives you wings!!![;)][;)][;)]

Kx
