Hi
Does anyone know the weight of a fully ancilliared 250 turbo se engine? Also what would be the weight of the car at each corner assuming half full petrol tank?
Thanx
Q

I know that the 16V N/A engine is 175kg and the 8V N/A is 166kg (from the Porsche manuals).

Unfortunately I don't have the same data for the turbo, but I'd guess you're going to be looking in the region of 200kg.

I don't know what the corner weights would be. The only way to find out is to put your car on a set of corner weight scales. It varies so much from car to car depending upon what equipment you have fitted and where it is etc. Even cars of supposedly the same spec will vary. However a rough estimate could be gained by dividing the kerb weight of the car by 4. It's supposed to have a pretty even weight distribution, so that would give you as good an estimate as anything.

Cheers

James
