Weight of 3.2

I have just got another 3.2 after selling my 3.2 targa(could not get on with the flex of a targa).This one is a 84 coupe in india red with black half leather logo interior.
The car seems quite a bit faster than my previous one(it was an 88,with the g50 box),and i am wondering how much heavier are the later models with the electric seats,g50 etc?Would this be the reason for the extra go,or were there any other differences on the early 3.2 cars?
Also.i know everyone seems to rave about the g 50 box,but this car has a really nice 915 box(having been rebuilt in the past)and i prefer the feel of it compared to the g50!
