Weights...clubsport / lwt

Folks,

Just a curious discussion this one. I've had the car wieghed, with me (89kg) and 1/2 a tank of fuel (about 32kg not measured accurately), taking those off the car comes in about 1184kg. Now, I've got MM Cup1 replicas which gives away 12kg to a set of mags I think. Makes the car on mags 1172kg.

I know there is some discrepancy in tyres, and I've got heavy ali boards in the footwells, but apart from that the car is stock. So I'm think a wet weight without fuel is about 1160 - 1170kg. The workshop manual quotes 1220 for a lwt spec car, anyone car to venture what a clubbie should be? I wondered if it would be heavier due to the cage, but assume not?

Just curious really....anyone else worked theirs out.l

hugh

Any other difference I should consider.

Interesting,
My lwt was on the scales last week, result was 1178kg without driver and with 1/4 tank. Car has no cat. which saves a bit Dymags which save a bit on the Mag Cups, but Kumho's which are considerably heavier than the Pirellis previously fitted!
Tiny bit of weight saved by running with smaller carpets and removing the speakers (which were there despite no radio)!

As far as I can tell nothing's missing so I don't know how to figure that against the 1220kg quoted!

Ah yes exhaust system.....I've just swapped my cup pipe for a standard rear box. What did they originally come with? The standard 964 box must be 20kg over a cup pipe.

(oh and its disappointingly quiet, although I'm sure it will get on the all trackdays now [:(])

Well a cup car wth cat and straight through exhaust is supposed to be about 1150kg on ally Cup 1s, so with full exhaust I'd expect around 1175-80kg. An NGT should be just about the same.

I did the same. [:(]

But always passed the sound check since - happy days! [:D]

Book weight for a Cup is 1120kg dry -so yours must be similar Hugh.

Mine weighed in at 1180kgs at Brands with half tank fuel/oil/pax seat/C2 rear silencer and ally Cups as different from original spec.....
