Received PP yesterday and as always read the 993 register section first and was pleased to see that Maurice P has his beloved 993 back home and that he is back as register secretary. Welcome back Maurice, but I have to add that Ken held the fort well in your absence.

Great to see you back. Pleased that all worked out well in the end for you.

Yes, well said Michael. Big welcome back to Maurice. You looked pretty sad at the thought of your S going when I saw you at the PorscheShop event, so it is really good news that it is back home.

What a relief. Now we can be sure of the very best advice, even an occasional rebuke. No disrespect intended Ken. Good news all round. To me driving a 993 is a bit like getting a "comfort blanket of old" out of the cupboard. So reassuring to know where it is. Delighted with the news Maurice. May it bring you much pleasure and dare I say comfort.

Welcome back !! it should be recorded I applied for the post of 993 RS as Maurice had formally stepped down. This I did and attended the Autosport Show to discuss the situation and surprise - learnt, Maurice had reversed his decision. He never communicated with me! Porsche Post published my name in error as 993 Register Secretary, their mistake. I was told a few PCGB 993 owners applied for the post and Maurice had plans for the register. I look forward to hearing about them, at least I organised two events for the register last year which seemed appreciated by the attendees. My caretaking is over and I am doubtful about continuing being assisitant reg secretary. Sadly the communication aspect is non existent. I will be attending the AGM with some reluctance...rgds Ken Coad.

I can understand how you feel Ken, I guess the rapid unfolding of events has left us all a bit confused.

The events you organised for the register are much appreciated. Hope you and Maurice can patch things up.

Ken, as with Mark I can understand how you feel and I also appreciate all you have done in oprganising some good events for our section and indeed said so in my first post.

I was suprised to see the note in Porsche Post, but thought that matters concerning the 993 Register Secretary would have been discussed and sorted before such and announcement was made. Obviously not. I enjoy PCGB and aespecially the 993 section and have obtained a lot of information and help from the register and register members, long may this continue.

I do hope we are not going down the club political route which seems to happen far too often here. I hope that you and Maurice can patch things up and that we will continue to see you at events.

I have no desire to protract the matter but feel I have to say that you do not need to justify yourself to me and I would think the vast majority of 993 forum members Maurice. As far as I am concerned you have been the very essence of what a good RS is over the years. And I for one hope that you continue to do so for as long as I have my 993, which will be for at least as long as there is fossilised fuel around to power it.
