Well done Hagerty

What stunning job they just done for me.

So my van blew a head gasket today, which means I have no transport to get the caterham to snetterton this weekend. Decided I should put the caterham on the road for a week and just drive it up (what a novel idea!), anyway in order to get it taxed, I clearly need insurance. Dayinsurance etc, not interested in covering a caterham, other insurers wanted me to take a full policy and cancel, or were charging me well over 100 quid for the effort.

These guys, looked at the porsche policy, ammended it to cover the caterham for 25quid! Legends! Makes up for the increase in premium I winged about earlier. Now the small matter of getting a 5year old race car through an MOT (do I need a number plate light?) and off we go!

Hugh, a number plate light is a requirement for an MOT I'm afraid. Your best bet is to find a sympathetic tester. Maybe phone around a few test centres and explain your problem. You never know.

Thanks Martin - I can rig something up for the test, using an interior light out of something is the plan!

I think I'm learning what distinguishes them, I was very impressed with their attitude to helping me out.

I have found that they try very hard to say "yes".

That's a great start, and they return telephone calls and emails [;)]
