Cost of ARB drop link and bush - porscheshop well over £50 including VAT + posting.

Cost of ARB drop link and bush - OPC Harston Cambridge £31 all in.

Cost of not having to give money to porscheshop - priceless!!!

Well done OPC Cambridge!!!!

Rob,
Porscheshop have always marked things up ! always try OPC first then Bert Gear, fitted a new fuel filter to the 220 today, still not fitted the Tial as the 250 is still hibernating !
Going to the Le Mans Classic in July..can't wait for the road trip.

I found that Berlyn and OPC were cheaper than PS too. But as with anything, some people are cheaper than others. From one local specialist in Coventry, I got a set of HT leads for £110 (BERU with the OPC Part nos. on them and with the Porsche insignia clearly scratched off), way cheaper than an OPC and a number of others (GSF I think may have been cheaper by £7 until a new bloke came in and stopped all discounts...).

Yes Rob,
Opened them, a job when we get to 10c+ concentrating on the 220 at the moment it is taking shape sharpish.
Fired the besaty up today and moved it in the garage (tyre flat spots) took the battery off to stick on the battery conditioner.
Roll on summer [;)]

I have allways found them most helpful. Needed a clutch inspectiom hole plug and they were a good price and posted it to me f.o.c!! Good service and nice people to deal with.

hiya all, massive saving on metal colour crested centres from opc, east london compared to what porscheshop were asking, dean who works in parts at opc always helpful cheers jason p

This is why I always tell people to try their OPC first!

Indeed, as it says in the "suppliers" faq! [8|]

Don't forget that the discounts available at some PCs and most other suppliers make a big difference if you're buying a lot of bits. Porscheshop gave me at least £30 off my exhaust on the open day, that's over half a membership subscription in one go.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion and everyone is entitled to shop around.

Prices differ with everything we buy. There is nothing wrong in telling a vendor you can get something cheaper elsewhere if you can. Sometimes a more attractive price can be established.

The other thing to note is OPC's do carry stock which remains dormant for years. If you are a lucky, you can pick up a bargain. On the other hand, if you are the first of a restock, you can wait a long time and also pay significantly more than the previous guy. Independent suppliers, who support owners of older cars, tend to have a greater turn around of stock so prices may be more up to date.
