Just got back from around trip 2 Birmingham 320 miles 90% motorway at about 80 mph when clear enough, both ways in rush hour and some jams(M1 & M25).

Trip indicates 33.1 mpg!! even after 18 months of ownership this car never fails to impress me.

Long runs in a 3.4 C4 Cab give me 28-30 mpg at 80 ish. Short journeys give me 23 ish. Both impress me considering it's a baby supercar. 14 mpg sounds like there may be a problem unless you're benefitting from 0-60 in not very much![;)]

I'd worry about your trip. 33 mpg in jams?

Not really worried, as already got 320 miles out of this tank (normal only manage 280/300) and still the needle is half way between 1/4 and E. So if I can resit canning it for this 1 and only tank's worth of juice, I'll see how far I can get from it. (sad I know! but mildly interesting)

But obviously nowhere near as impressive as 14mpg that sounds far more FUN

And jams were not too bad considering

Just as an experiment I drove 70 miles to work the other day at 55 to 60mph with aircon off and acheived 38mpg from my C4S. I don't normally drive it like that by the way!

I didnt notice my MPG when the speedo showed 170 the other day....

Not bad from a 100,000 mile 3.4 tiptronic!
