Time is getting close to enter for this event. If you would like an entry form just e-mail me (jamesdbrickell@aol.com) an I will then send a copy to you.
This is a good local event that makes a fun day out. There are classic cars, classic motorbikes, military vehicles and obviously The Vulcan bomber. All of this for an entry fee of £5 for your car and two adults.
Here is a bit more information if you are interested:
Avro Vulcan XM655 was third from last of the Vulcan bombers produced for the Royal Air Force, being delivered in late 1964, and was part of the UK's nuclear deterrent force throughout the 1960s and 1970s.
XM655 is one of the few Vulcans remaining in ground running condition, the only one with the most powerful of the engine variants (Bristol Olympus 301s) and 655MaPS aim to keep it running for as long as possible.
There will be the slow and fast taxi runs of the Vulcan and the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight will be sending their Dakota to overfly Wings and Wheels and orbit the airfield 3 times. Timing to be announced nearer to the 16th. June.
More can be found on their web page: http://www.xm655.com/
