The wonderful Welsh weekender is rapidly approaching.
Saturday 23rd May sees the 3rd PCGB Anglesey Track Day. If you wish to attend this delightful day at what must be the prettiest race track in the UK, please contact Paul Grainger at Club Office on 01608 652911 as soon as possible as the event is filling up fast. Novices remain very welcome. If you have never done a track day before, there is no better opportunity to drive your car as Porsche intended and instructors will also be available to help you make the most of the day. A few full and half day places remain available. Spectators are more than welcome, free of charge and passenger laps will no doubt be on offer from many of the participating drivers.
The following day, Sunday 24th May, sees the return of the ever popular Porsches on the Prom. The event will take place on the North Shore Promenade, Llandudno and entry will be via the lifeboat access, directly opposite the St George's Hotel. Cars will start gathering from 10.30am and we will finish for 4.30pm. If your car suffers from any sort of leak, we would appreciate it if you would bring a drip tray or some form of mat, as an oil spill on the Prom is a definite "no-no". There is no fee for entrance and everyone is welcome. People will be attending from the length and breadth of the UK. There are plenty of eating places in Llandudno and, as an historic Victorian seaside resort, it is a fascinating town to visit.
With regret, parking on the Prom is for Porsche cars only, even PCGB members will not be permitted to park other marques in the line up, however exotic. If you are attending as part of a group and one of you is not in their Porsche for whatever reason, please alert them to this requirement to avoid any misunderstandings turning into disappointment.
For those wishing to make a long weekend of it, many PCGB members are also attending the Prestatyn Car Show on Bank Holiday Monday 25th May. See www.http://prestatyncarshow.blogspot.co.uk for more details.
Finally, if anyone planning to attend Porsches on the Prom is able to help myself and Arfor Jones meet, greet and park cars then please let me know "" regional@porscheclubgb.com.
I look forward to seeing you there.
